A top price for Hubert Drouais - as previously expected
In October 2017 Christies in New York held the auction Old Masters, which included the work Portrait of a man, half-length by Hubert Drouais. The price achieved of USD 8,750.00 (€ 7,512.02) was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been set by the auction house as USD 8,000.00 – 10,000.00. Even if this result could not surprise positively, Portrait of a man, half-length is the most expensive artwork by Hubert Drouais that we have observed at auctions so far.

Im Oktober 2017 führte Christies in New York die Auktion Old Masters durch, in der auch die Arbeit Portrait of a man, half-length von Hubert Drouais zur Versteigerung kam. Der dabei erzielte Preis von USD 8.750,00 (€ 7.512,02) lag im Rahmen der Erwartungen – die Schätzpreisspanne war von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit USD 8.000,00 – 10.000,00 angegeben worden. Auch wenn das Ergebnis damit nicht positiv überraschen konnte, ist Portrait of a man, half-length das teuerste Kunstwerk von Hubert Drouais, das wir bisher bei Auktionen beobachtet haben.
