Auction result well in line with expectations
The work Sparrows on Willows by Huang Zhou was sold in the Fine Chinese Modern and Contemporary Ink Paintings auction at Christies in Cologne in May this year. It changed hands for a price of HKD 119,700.00 (€ 14,347.37) achieving a result in the upper range of the estimate price range of HKD 80,000.00 – 120,000.00. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Huang Zhou achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Xinjiang Dance in October 2014 with an auction result of HKD 4,840,000.00 (€ 498,292.10).
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Die Arbeit Sparrows on Willows von Huang Zhou wurde im Mai diesen Jahres in der Auktion Fine Chinese Modern and Contemporary Ink Paintings bei Christies in Köln versteigert. Dabei wechselte sie für einen Preis von HKD 119.700,00 (€ 14.347,37) den Besitzer und erzielte damit ein Ergebnis im oberen Bereich der Schätzpreisspanne von HKD 80.000,00 – 120.000,00. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Huang Zhou erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit Xinjiang Dance im Oktober 2014 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von HKD 4.840.000,00 (€ 498.292,10).
