Auction result well in line with expectations
The work Seven Donkeys by Huang Zhou was sold in the Fine Chinese Modern and Contemporary Ink Paintings auction at Christies in Cologne in May this year. The price achieved of HKD 151,200.00 (€ 18,123.00) was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been set by the auction house as HKD 120,000.00 – 180,000.00. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Huang Zhou achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Xinjiang Dance in October 2014 with an auction result of HKD 4,840,000.00 (€ 498,292.10).
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Die Arbeit Seven Donkeys von Huang Zhou wurde im Mai diesen Jahres in der Auktion Fine Chinese Modern and Contemporary Ink Paintings bei Christies in Köln versteigert. Der dabei erzielte Preis von HKD 151.200,00 (€ 18.123,00) lag im Rahmen der Erwartungen – die Schätzpreisspanne war von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit HKD 120.000,00 – 180.000,00 angegeben worden. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Huang Zhou erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit Xinjiang Dance im Oktober 2014 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von HKD 4.840.000,00 (€ 498.292,10).
