The work Four Donkeys by Huang Zhou was worth HKD 214,200.00 (€ 25,674.24) to a buyer in May this year. This price was achieved in the auction Fine Chinese Modern and Contemporary Ink Paintings at Christies in Cologne and exceeded the previously set upper estimate of HKD 70,000.00 many times over. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Huang Zhou achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Xinjiang Dance in October 2014 with an auction result of HKD 4,840,000.00 (€ 498,292.10).

Die Arbeit Four Donkeys von Huang Zhou war einem Käufer im Mai diesen Jahres HKD 214.200,00 (€ 25.674,24) wert. Dieser Preise wurde in der Auktion Fine Chinese Modern and Contemporary Ink Paintings bei Christies in Köln erzielt und übertraf den zuvor angesetzten oberen Schätzpreis von HKD 70.000,00 um ein Vielfaches. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Huang Zhou erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit Xinjiang Dance im Oktober 2014 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von HKD 4.840.000,00 (€ 498.292,10).
