The work Chicks by Huang Zhou was sold in the Summer Reverie: Chinese Paintings Online auction at Christies in New York in August this year. The »bidding war« ended at HKD 63,000.00 (€ 7,410.74), 58% above the upper estimate. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Huang Zhou achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Xinjiang Dance in October 2014 with an auction result of HKD 4,840,000.00 (€ 498,292.10).
Oberer Schätzpreis um 58 % übertroffen
Die Arbeit Chicks von Huang Zhou wurde im August diesen Jahres in der Auktion Summer Reverie: Chinese Paintings Online bei Christies in New York versteigert. Das »Bietergefecht« endete beim Preis von HKD 63.000,00 (€ 7.410,74) und damit 58% über dem oberen Schätzpreis. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Huang Zhou erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit Xinjiang Dance im Oktober 2014 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von HKD 4.840.000,00 (€ 498.292,10).
