A top price for Huang Xishuang - as previously expected
The work Reading Under the Tree by Huang Xishuang was sold in the Chinese PaintingsThe Online Sale auction at Bonhams in Hong Kong in October 2019. The price achieved of HKD 6,375.00 (€ 728.65) was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been set by the auction house as HKD 5,000.00 – 8,000.00. Even if this result could not surprise positively, Reading Under the Tree is the most expensive artwork by Huang Xishuang that we have observed at auctions so far.

Die Arbeit Reading Under the Tree von Huang Xishuang wurde im Oktober 2019 in der Auktion Chinese PaintingsThe Online Sale bei Bonhams in Hong Kong versteigert. Der dabei erzielte Preis von HKD 6.375,00 (€ 728,65) lag im Rahmen der Erwartungen – die Schätzpreisspanne war von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit HKD 5.000,00 – 8.000,00 angegeben worden. Auch wenn das Ergebnis damit nicht positiv überraschen konnte, ist Reading Under the Tree das teuerste Kunstwerk von Huang Xishuang, das wir bisher bei Auktionen beobachtet haben.
