Auction result well in line with expectations
In December 2021 Bonhams in Hong Kong held the auction Fine Chinese Paintings, which included the work Calligraphy Couplet in Seal Script by Huang Kan. The price achieved of HKD 38,250.00 (€ 4,332.61) was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been set by the auction house as HKD 30,000.00 – 50,000.00. However, buyers have had to dig much deeper into their pockets for other works by Huang Kan - we have observed the highest auction result to date for the work Calligraphy In Kaishu, which sold at auction in April 2015 for HKD 137,500.00 (€ 15,890.97).
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Im Dezember 2021 führte Bonhams in Hong Kong die Auktion Fine Chinese Paintings durch, in der auch die Arbeit Calligraphy Couplet in Seal Script von Huang Kan zur Versteigerung kam. Der dabei erzielte Preis von HKD 38.250,00 (€ 4.332,61) lag im Rahmen der Erwartungen – die Schätzpreisspanne war von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit HKD 30.000,00 – 50.000,00 angegeben worden. Für andere Arbeiten von Huang Kan mussten die Käufer allerdings auch schon deutlich tiefer in die Tasche greifen – das bisher höchste Auktionsergebnis haben wir für die Arbeit Calligraphy In Kaishu beobachtet, die im April 2015 für HKD 137.500,00 (€ 15.890,97) versteigert wurde.
