Upper estimate price exceeded by more than 100%
This artwork by Huang Huanwu achieved an unexpectedly high price at Christies in Hong Kong in May this year. In the Exquisite Eye: Chinese Paintings Online auction, the work Bird and Loofah sold for HKD 44,100 (€ 5,236) - well above the upper estimate of HKD 20,000. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Huang Huanwu achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work in April 2011 with an auction result of HKD 620,000 (€ 53,880).
Oberer Schätzpreis um mehr als 100% übertroffen
Dieses Kunstwerk von Huang Huanwu erzielte im Mai diesen Jahres bei Christies in Hong Kong einen unerwartet hohen Preis. In der Auktion Exquisite Eye: Chinese Paintings Online wurde die Arbeit Bird and Loofah für HKD 44.100 (€ 5.236) versteigert – und damit weit über dem oberen Schätzpreis von HKD 20.000. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Huang Huanwu erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit im April 2011 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von HKD 620.000 (€ 53.880).
