Auction result well in line with expectations
The work Bodhidharma by Hua Ziyou was sold in the Chinese Painting and Calligraphy from the Four Seas auction at China Guardian in Hong Kong in October 2014. The estimated price for the artwork was previously given by the auction house with a range of HKD 30,000.00 – 50,000.00, the actual price achieved of HKD 34,500.00 (€ 3,551.88) could thus just exceed the lower estimate. However, buyers have had to dig much deeper into their pockets for other works by Hua Ziyou - we have observed the highest auction result to date for the work Lohans, which sold at auction in September 2013 for USD 13,750.00 (€ 10,158.85).
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Die Arbeit Bodhidharma von Hua Ziyou wurde im Oktober 2014 in der Auktion Chinese Painting and Calligraphy from the Four Seas bei China Guardian in Hong Kong versteigert. Der Schätzpreis für das Kunstwerk wurde von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit einer Spanne von HKD 30.000,00 – 50.000,00 angegeben, der tatsächlich erzielte Preis von HKD 34.500,00 (€ 3.551,88) konnte den unteren Schätzpreis somit knapp übertreffen. Für andere Arbeiten von Hua Ziyou mussten die Käufer allerdings auch schon deutlich tiefer in die Tasche greifen – das bisher höchste Auktionsergebnis haben wir für die Arbeit Lohans beobachtet, die im September 2013 für USD 13.750,00 (€ 10.158,85) versteigert wurde.
