The work Landscapes and Figures by Hua Yan was sold in the Fine Chinese Classical Paintings and Calligraphy auction at Christies in Hong Kong in November 2016. The »bidding war« ended at HKD 475,000.00 (€ 57,881.92), 58% above the upper estimate. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Hua Yan achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Birds and Flowers in May 2010 with an auction result of HKD 19,140,000.00 (€ 1,988,430.75).

Die Arbeit Landscapes and Figures von Hua Yan wurde im November 2016 in der Auktion Fine Chinese Classical Paintings and Calligraphy bei Christies in Hong Kong versteigert. Das »Bietergefecht« endete beim Preis von HKD 475.000,00 (€ 57.881,92) und damit 58% über dem oberen Schätzpreis. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Hua Yan erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit Birds and Flowers im Mai 2010 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von HKD 19.140.000,00 (€ 1.988.430,75).
