Despite a disappointment, a good price for Hu Yuji
This work of art by Hu Yuji could be acquired at Christies in Hong Kong in May 2016 for an unexpectedly low price. In the Fine Chinese Modern Paintings auction, the work Welcoming Spring changed hands for HKD 437,500.00 (€ 50,566.91) - missing the lower end of the estimate range of HKD 450,000.00 – 500,000.00. Despite this disappointing result, Welcoming Spring is the most expensive artwork by Hu Yuji that we have observed at auction so far.
Trotz Enttäuschung ein guter Preis für Hu Yuji
Dieses Kunstwerk von Hu Yuji konnte im Mai 2016 bei Christies in Hong Kong für einen unerwartet niedrigen Preis ersteigert werden. In der Auktion Fine Chinese Modern Paintings wechselte die Arbeit Welcoming Spring für HKD 437.500,00 (€ 50.566,91) den Besitzer – und verfehlte damit das untere Ende der Schätzpreisspanne von HKD 450.000,00 – 500.000,00. Trotz dieses enttäuschenden Ergebnisses ist Welcoming Spring das teuerste Kunstwerk von Hu Yuji, das wir bisher bei Auktionen beobachtet haben.
