Auction result well in line with expectations
In April 2021 Sothebys in Hong Kong held the auction Fine Chinese Paintings, which included the work Orchid And Rock by Hu Gongshou. The price achieved of HKD 69,300.00 (€ 7,419.65) was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been set by the auction house as HKD 60,000.00 – 80,000.00. Admittedly, works by Hu Gongshou have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work Journey Into The Mountains in October 2015 with an auction result of HKD 437,500.00 (€ 51,111.66).
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Im April 2021 führte Sothebys in Hong Kong die Auktion Fine Chinese Paintings durch, in der auch die Arbeit Orchid And Rock von Hu Gongshou zur Versteigerung kam. Der dabei erzielte Preis von HKD 69.300,00 (€ 7.419,65) lag im Rahmen der Erwartungen – die Schätzpreisspanne war von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit HKD 60.000,00 – 80.000,00 angegeben worden. Freilich wurden Arbeiten von Hu Gongshou auch schon für ein Vielfaches dieses Preises versteigert – das bisher höchste Ergebnis erzielte nach unseren Aufzeichnungen die Arbeit Journey Into The Mountains im Oktober 2015 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von HKD 437.500,00 (€ 51.111,66).
