Auction result misses estimated price range
In November last year a collector was able to acquire the work Salvador Dali (Eyes Closed) (New York) by Horst P. Horst for GBP 1,083.75 (€ 1,255.82). This price was achieved in the auction The Astute EyeContemporary Art from a Private London Collector Online at Bonhams in London and was even below the estimate range of GBP 1,800.00 – 2,500.00 set by the auction house. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Horst P. Horst achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Mainbocher Corset, Paris, 1939 in April 2007 with an auction result of USD 288,000.00 (€ 210,834.55).

Im November letzten Jahres konnte ein Sammler die Arbeit Salvador Dali (Eyes Closed) (New York) von Horst P. Horst für GBP 1.083,75 (€ 1.255,82) erwerben. Dieser Preis wurde in der Auktion The Astute EyeContemporary Art from a Private London Collector Online bei Bonhams in London erzielt und lag noch unterhalb der von dem Auktionshaus angesetzten Schätzpreisspanne von GBP 1.800,00 – 2.500,00. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Horst P. Horst erzielen.
