In June last year Bonhams in Hong Kong held the auction Fine Chinese Paintings, which included the work Calligraphy in Regular Script by Hong Yi. The »bidding war« ended at HKD 22,950.00 (€ 2,792.85), 53% above the upper estimate. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Hong Yi achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Calligraphy of Sutra in November 2018 with an auction result of HKD 9,700,000.00 (€ 1,094,815.86).
Oberer Schätzpreis um 53 % übertroffen
Im Juni letzten Jahres führte Bonhams in Hong Kong die Auktion Fine Chinese Paintings durch, in der auch die Arbeit Calligraphy in Regular Script von Hong Yi zur Versteigerung kam. Das »Bietergefecht« endete beim Preis von HKD 22.950,00 (€ 2.792,85) und damit 53% über dem oberen Schätzpreis. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Hong Yi erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit Calligraphy of Sutra im November 2018 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von HKD 9.700.000,00 (€ 1.094.815,86).
