A top price for Hong Yi - as previously expected
The work Calligraphy of Sutra by Hong Yi was sold in the Fine Chinese Modern Paintings auction at Christies in Hong Kong in November 2018. It changed hands for a price of HKD 9,700,000.00 (€ 1,094,815.86) achieving a result in the upper range of the estimate price range of HKD 8,000,000.00 – 10,000,000.00. Even if this result could not surprise positively, Calligraphy of Sutra is the most expensive artwork by Hong Yi that we have observed at auctions so far.
Ein Spitzenpreis mit Ansage
Die Arbeit Calligraphy of Sutra von Hong Yi wurde im November 2018 in der Auktion Fine Chinese Modern Paintings bei Christies in Hong Kong versteigert. Dabei wechselte sie für einen Preis von HKD 9.700.000,00 (€ 1.094.815,86) den Besitzer und erzielte damit ein Ergebnis im oberen Bereich der Schätzpreisspanne von HKD 8.000.000,00 – 10.000.000,00. Auch wenn das Ergebnis damit nicht positiv überraschen konnte, ist Calligraphy of Sutra das teuerste Kunstwerk von Hong Yi, das wir bisher bei Auktionen beobachtet haben.
