Upper estimate price exceeded by more than 100%
This artwork by Hong Yi achieved an unexpectedly high price at Sothebys in Hong Kong in April last year. In the Fine Chinese Paintings auction, the work Buddhist Aphorism sold for HKD 2,079,000.00 (€ 251,366.23) - well above the upper estimate of HKD 900,000.00. Admittedly, works by Hong Yi have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work Calligraphy of Sutra in November 2018 with an auction result of HKD 9,700,000.00 (€ 1,094,815.86).
Oberer Schätzpreis um mehr als 100% übertroffen
Dieses Kunstwerk von Hong Yi erzielte im April letzten Jahres bei Sothebys in Hong Kong einen unerwartet hohen Preis. In der Auktion Fine Chinese Paintings wurde die Arbeit Buddhist Aphorism für HKD 2.079.000,00 (€ 251.366,23) versteigert – und damit weit über dem oberen Schätzpreis von HKD 900.000,00. Freilich wurden Arbeiten von Hong Yi auch schon für ein Vielfaches dieses Preises versteigert – das bisher höchste Ergebnis erzielte nach unseren Aufzeichnungen die Arbeit Calligraphy of Sutra im November 2018 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von HKD 9.700.000,00 (€ 1.094.815,86).
