Auction result well in line with expectations
In October last year POLY held the auction Fine Chinese Paintings and Calligraphy, which included the work Calligraphy by Hong Yi. The estimated price for the artwork was previously given by the auction house with a range of HKD 50,000.00 – 100,000.00, the actual price achieved of HKD 60,000.00 (€ 7,688.75) could thus just exceed the lower estimate. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Hong Yi achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Calligraphy of Sutra in November 2018 with an auction result of HKD 9,700,000.00 (€ 1,094,815.86).
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Im Oktober letzten Jahres führte POLY die Auktion Fine Chinese Paintings and Calligraphy durch, in der auch die Arbeit Calligraphy von Hong Yi zur Versteigerung kam. Der Schätzpreis für das Kunstwerk wurde von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit einer Spanne von HKD 50.000,00 – 100.000,00 angegeben, der tatsächlich erzielte Preis von HKD 60.000,00 (€ 7.688,75) konnte den unteren Schätzpreis somit knapp übertreffen. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Hong Yi erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit Calligraphy of Sutra im November 2018 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von HKD 9.700.000,00 (€ 1.094.815,86).
