Auction result misses estimated price range
This work of art by Hong Yi could be acquired at Bonhams in Paris in June this year for an unexpectedly low price. In the Decorative Asian Works of Art Online auction, the work Calligraphy in Standard Script changed hands for USD 1,920.00 (€ 1,758.24) - missing the lower end of the estimate range of USD 2,000.00 – 3,000.00. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Hong Yi achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Calligraphy of Sutra in November 2018 with an auction result of HKD 9,700,000.00 (€ 1,094,815.86).
Auktionsergebnis verfehlt die Schätzpreisspanne
Dieses Kunstwerk von Hong Yi konnte im Juni diesen Jahres bei Bonhams in Paris für einen unerwartet niedrigen Preis ersteigert werden. In der Auktion Decorative Asian Works of Art Online wechselte die Arbeit Calligraphy in Standard Script für USD 1.920,00 (€ 1.758,24) den Besitzer – und verfehlte damit das untere Ende der Schätzpreisspanne von USD 2.000,00 – 3.000,00. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Hong Yi erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit Calligraphy of Sutra im November 2018 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von HKD 9.700.000,00 (€ 1.094.815,86).
