Auction result well in line with expectations
The work Calligraphy Collection by Hong Yi was sold in the Fine Chinese Modern and Contemporary Ink Paintings auction at Christies in Cologne in May this year. The price achieved of HKD 2,520,000.00 (€ 302,049.93) was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been set by the auction house as HKD 2,000,000.00 – 3,000,000.00. However, buyers have had to dig much deeper into their pockets for other works by Hong Yi - we have observed the highest auction result to date for the work Calligraphy of Sutra, which sold at auction in November 2018 for HKD 9,700,000.00 (€ 1,094,815.86).
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Die Arbeit Calligraphy Collection von Hong Yi wurde im Mai diesen Jahres in der Auktion Fine Chinese Modern and Contemporary Ink Paintings bei Christies in Köln versteigert. Der dabei erzielte Preis von HKD 2.520.000,00 (€ 302.049,93) lag im Rahmen der Erwartungen – die Schätzpreisspanne war von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit HKD 2.000.000,00 – 3.000.000,00 angegeben worden. Für andere Arbeiten von Hong Yi mussten die Käufer allerdings auch schon deutlich tiefer in die Tasche greifen – das bisher höchste Auktionsergebnis haben wir für die Arbeit Calligraphy of Sutra beobachtet, die im November 2018 für HKD 9.700.000,00 (€ 1.094.815,86) versteigert wurde.
