Auction result misses estimated price range
In April 2011 a collector was able to acquire the work Roses by a window by Hobson Lafayette Pittman for USD 2,750.00 (€ 1,855.48). This price was achieved in the auction Christie's Interiors at Christies in New York and was even below the estimate range of USD 6,000.00 – 8,000.00 set by the auction house. Other works by Hobson Lafayette Pittman have also sold for higher prices; the highest price we have seen at auction so far was achieved in September 2008 by the work Neighborhood at USD 4,063.00 (€ 2,885.45).
