Auction result misses estimated price range
In June 2017 a collector was able to acquire the work Two Ladies on a River Bank by Hishikawa Sori III for GBP 625.00 (€ 711.76). This price was achieved in the auction From Artist to Woodblock: Japanese Prints Online at Christies in London and was even below the estimate range of GBP 700.00 – 900.00 set by the auction house. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Hishikawa Sori III achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Symbols Of Good Fortune To Overcome A Period Of Danger in September 2021 with an auction result of USD 15,000.00 (€ 12,956.72).

Im Juni 2017 konnte ein Sammler die Arbeit Two Ladies on a River Bank von Hishikawa Sori III für GBP 625,00 (€ 711,76) erwerben. Dieser Preis wurde in der Auktion From Artist to Woodblock: Japanese Prints Online bei Christies in London erzielt und lag noch unterhalb der von dem Auktionshaus angesetzten Schätzpreisspanne von GBP 700,00 – 900,00.
