Auction result well in line with expectations
The work Untitled, 2008 by Hiroyuki Doi was sold in the Outsider Art auction at Christies in New York in January 2020. The price achieved of USD 10,000.00 (€ 9,014.69) was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been set by the auction house as USD 8,000.00 – 12,000.00. However, buyers have had to dig much deeper into their pockets for other works by Hiroyuki Doi - we have observed the highest auction result to date for the work Soul 1, 2008, which sold at auction in January 2019 for USD 22,500.00 (€ 19,643.79).

Die Arbeit Untitled, 2008 von Hiroyuki Doi wurde im Januar 2020 in der Auktion Outsider Art bei Christies in New York versteigert. Der dabei erzielte Preis von USD 10.000,00 (€ 9.014,69) lag im Rahmen der Erwartungen – die Schätzpreisspanne war von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit USD 8.000,00 – 12.000,00 angegeben worden. Für andere Arbeiten von Hiroyuki Doi mussten die Käufer allerdings auch schon deutlich tiefer in die Tasche greifen – das bisher höchste Auktionsergebnis haben wir für die Arbeit Soul 1, 2008 beobachtet, die im Januar 2019 für USD 22.500,00 (€ 19.643,79) versteigert wurde.
