A top price for Hilding Werner - as previously expected
In October 2006 Christies in London held the auction Nordic Art andDesign, which included the work Sunset by Hilding Werner. The price achieved of GBP 14,400.00 (€ 21,514.88) was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been set by the auction house as GBP 12,000.00 – 18,000.00. Even if this result could not surprise positively, Sunset is the most expensive artwork by Hilding Werner that we have observed at auctions so far.

Im Oktober 2006 führte Christies in London die Auktion Nordic Art andDesign durch, in der auch die Arbeit Sunset von Hilding Werner zur Versteigerung kam. Der dabei erzielte Preis von GBP 14.400,00 (€ 21.514,88) lag im Rahmen der Erwartungen – die Schätzpreisspanne war von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit GBP 12.000,00 – 18.000,00 angegeben worden. Auch wenn das Ergebnis damit nicht positiv überraschen konnte, ist Sunset das teuerste Kunstwerk von Hilding Werner, das wir bisher bei Auktionen beobachtet haben.
