Auction result well in line with expectations
In August 2001 Christies in Sydney held the auction AUSTRALIAN AND INTERNATIONAL PAINTINGS, which included the work Snow Montmartre (Snow on Houses) by Hilda Emma Nicholas. The price achieved of AUD 14,100.00 (€ 8,185.45) was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been set by the auction house as AUD 12,000.00 – 15,000.00. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Hilda Emma Nicholas achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Children at Mount Annan, Holbrook in August this year with an auction result of AUD 159,900.00 (€ 95,417.77).
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Im August 2001 führte Christies in Sydney die Auktion AUSTRALIAN AND INTERNATIONAL PAINTINGS durch, in der auch die Arbeit Snow Montmartre (Snow on Houses) von Hilda Emma Nicholas zur Versteigerung kam. Der dabei erzielte Preis von AUD 14.100,00 (€ 8.185,45) lag im Rahmen der Erwartungen – die Schätzpreisspanne war von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit AUD 12.000,00 – 15.000,00 angegeben worden. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Hilda Emma Nicholas erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit Children at Mount Annan, Holbrook im August diesen Jahres mit einem Auktionsergebnis von AUD 159.900,00 (€ 95.417,77).
