In November 2016 Christies in Hong Kong held the auction Asian Contemporary Art (Day Sale), which included the work OVER THERE by Hideo Tanaka. The »bidding war« ended at HKD 93,750.00 (€ 11,424.06), 34% above the upper estimate. However, buyers have had to dig much deeper into their pockets for other works by Hideo Tanaka - we have observed the highest auction result to date for the work Where, which sold at auction in May 2016 for HKD 212,500.00 (€ 24,561.07).
Oberer Schätzpreis um 34 % übertroffen
Im November 2016 führte Christies in Hong Kong die Auktion Asian Contemporary Art (Day Sale) durch, in der auch die Arbeit OVER THERE von Hideo Tanaka zur Versteigerung kam. Das »Bietergefecht« endete beim Preis von HKD 93.750,00 (€ 11.424,06) und damit 34% über dem oberen Schätzpreis. Für andere Arbeiten von Hideo Tanaka mussten die Käufer allerdings auch schon deutlich tiefer in die Tasche greifen – das bisher höchste Auktionsergebnis haben wir für die Arbeit Where beobachtet, die im Mai 2016 für HKD 212.500,00 (€ 24.561,07) versteigert wurde.
