Auction result well in line with expectations
The work A Mountainous Landscape With Lot And His Daughters, The Destruction Of Sodom And Gomorrah Beyond by Herri met de Bles was sold in the IMPORTANT OLD MASTER PICTURES auction at Christies in London in July 2001. The price achieved of GBP 58,750.00 (€ 95,670.13) was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been set by the auction house as GBP 50,000.00 – 70,000.00. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Herri met de Bles achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work A siege at Thérouanne, with an army led by Charles V encamped below the city in December 2009 with an auction result of GBP 1,049,250.00 (€ 1,183,590.90).
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Die Arbeit A Mountainous Landscape With Lot And His Daughters, The Destruction Of Sodom And Gomorrah Beyond von Herri met de Bles wurde im Juli 2001 in der Auktion IMPORTANT OLD MASTER PICTURES bei Christies in London versteigert.
