Auction result well in line with expectations
The work Lending Oneself to Nature by Hernan Bas was auctioned at Christies in Hong Kong in December last year. The price achieved of HKD 352,800.00 (€ 42,277.96) was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been set by the auction house as HKD 220,000.00 – 420,000.00. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Hernan Bas achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work The Bats and the Barn Bridge in November last year with an auction result of HKD 11,250,000.00 (€ 1,396,033.13).

Die Arbeit Lending Oneself to Nature von Hernan Bas kam im Dezember letzten Jahres bei Christies in Hong Kong zur Auktion. Der dabei erzielte Preis von HKD 352.800,00 (€ 42.277,96) lag im Rahmen der Erwartungen – die Schätzpreisspanne war von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit HKD 220.000,00 – 420.000,00 angegeben worden. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Hernan Bas erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit The Bats and the Barn Bridge im November letzten Jahres mit einem Auktionsergebnis von HKD 11.250.000,00 (€ 1.396.033,13).
