In September 2001 Christies in Amsterdam held the auction PICTURES WATERCOLOURS AND DRAWINGS INCL. COPIES AFTER OMPIX, which included the work Cows by a willow tree by Herman Charles Christiaan Bogman. The »bidding war« ended at EUR 940.00 31% above the upper estimate. However, buyers have had to dig much deeper into their pockets for other works by Herman Charles Christiaan Bogman - we have observed the highest auction result to date for the work A polder landscape with cows near the water, which sold at auction in March 2001 for NLG 4,700.00 (€ 2,176.84).
Oberer Schätzpreis um 31 % übertroffen
Im September 2001 führte Christies in Amsterdam die Auktion PICTURES WATERCOLOURS AND DRAWINGS INCL. COPIES AFTER OMPIX durch, in der auch die Arbeit Cows by a willow tree von Herman Charles Christiaan Bogman zur Versteigerung kam. Das »Bietergefecht« endete beim Preis von EUR 940,00 und damit 31% über dem oberen Schätzpreis. Für andere Arbeiten von Herman Charles Christiaan Bogman mussten die Käufer allerdings auch schon deutlich tiefer in die Tasche greifen – das bisher höchste Auktionsergebnis haben wir für die Arbeit A polder landscape with cows near the water beobachtet, die im März 2001 für NLG 4.700,00 (€ 2.176,84) versteigert wurde.
