A top price for Herman Rose
When the work Flowers On A Chair by Herman Rose was auctioned at Sothebys in New York in April 2021, the result exceeded expectations many times over. The upper estimate was set at a - in retrospect quite modest - USD 2,000.00 but the actual price achieved was more than four times as high at USD 8,190.00 (€ 6,807.98). This high result makes Flowers On A Chair the most expensive artwork by Herman Rose that we have observed at auctions so far.
