Upper estimate price exceeded by more than 100%
This artwork by Herman Rose achieved an unexpectedly high price at Sothebys in New York in March 2021. In the Two Centuries: American Art auction, the work Chimney and Skyscraper sold for USD 6,930.00 (€ 5,901.39) - well above the upper estimate of USD 2,500.00. Despite this good result, it is not the highest hammer price for an artwork by Herman Rose; that achieved among the auctions we observed the lot Flowers On A Chair sold at auction in April 2021 with the realized price of USD 8,190.00 (€ 6,807.98).
Oberer Schätzpreis um mehr als 100% übertroffen
Dieses Kunstwerk von Herman Rose erzielte im März 2021 bei Sothebys in New York einen unerwartet hohen Preis. In der Auktion Two Centuries: American Art wurde die Arbeit Chimney and Skyscraper für USD 6.930,00 (€ 5.901,39) versteigert – und damit weit über dem oberen Schätzpreis von USD 2.500,00. Trotz des guten Ergebnisses ist dies nicht der höchste Zuschlag für ein Kunstwerk von Herman Rose; den erzielte unter den von uns beobachteten Auktionen die Arbeit Flowers On A Chair im April 2021 mit dem Hammerpreis von USD 8.190,00 (€ 6.807,98).
