Auction result misses estimated price range
In June 2019 a collector was able to acquire the work "Topsy" by Herbert Gustave Schmalz for SEK 70,000.00 (€ 6,664.90). This price was achieved in the auction Important Spring Sale at Bukowski in Stockholm and was even below the estimate range of SEK 80,000.00 – 100,000.00 set by the auction house. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Herbert Gustave Schmalz achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Faithful unto Death: 'Christianae ad Leones!' in November 2000 with an auction result of GBP 56,400.00 (€ 92,183.57).
Auktionsergebnis verfehlt die Schätzpreisspanne
Im Juni 2019 konnte ein Sammler die Arbeit "Topsy" von Herbert Gustave Schmalz für SEK 70.000,00 (€ 6.664,90) erwerben. Dieser Preis wurde in der Auktion Important Spring Sale bei Bukowski in Stockholm erzielt und lag noch unterhalb der von dem Auktionshaus angesetzten Schätzpreisspanne von SEK 80.000,00 – 100.000,00. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Herbert Gustave Schmalz erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit Faithful unto Death: 'Christianae ad Leones!' im November 2000 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von GBP 56.400,00 (€ 92.183,57).
