In January 2011 Christies in London held the auction The Ski Sale, which included the work Pontresina by Herbert Leupin. The »bidding war« ended at GBP 1,000.00 (€ 1,122.27), 25% above the upper estimate. Admittedly, works by Herbert Leupin have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work Davos in January 2014 with an auction result of GBP 6,875.00 (€ 8,377.31).
Oberer Schätzpreis um 25 % übertroffen
Im Januar 2011 führte Christies in London die Auktion The Ski Sale durch, in der auch die Arbeit Pontresina von Herbert Leupin zur Versteigerung kam. Das »Bietergefecht« endete beim Preis von GBP 1.000,00 (€ 1.122,27) und damit 25% über dem oberen Schätzpreis. Freilich wurden Arbeiten von Herbert Leupin auch schon für ein Vielfaches dieses Preises versteigert – das bisher höchste Ergebnis erzielte nach unseren Aufzeichnungen die Arbeit Davos im Januar 2014 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von GBP 6.875,00 (€ 8.377,31).
