Upper estimated price slightly exceeded
In March 2006 Christies in London held the auction British and Continental Pictures, which included the work The Casbah, Tangiers, Morocco by Herbert Francis Williams-Lyouns. Here, the upper estimate of GBP 600.00 was slightly exceeded - the artwork found a new owner for GBP 660.00 (€ 945.66). Other works by Herbert Francis Williams-Lyouns have achieved even higher prices, we observed the highest auction result so far of GBP 956.00 (€ 1,431.04) in March 2004 for the work The Gulf of Corinth.
