In May 2005 Christies in London held the auction BRITISH AND CONTINENTAL PICTURES, which included the work The drawing room in summer by Herbert Davis Richter. The »bidding war« ended at GBP 4,560.00 (€ 6,731.99), 52% above the upper estimate. However, buyers have had to dig much deeper into their pockets for other works by Herbert Davis Richter - we have observed the highest auction result to date for the work The Artist'S Home, which sold at auction in November 2004 for GBP 13,145.00 (€ 18,909.01).

Im Mai 2005 führte Christies in London die Auktion BRITISH AND CONTINENTAL PICTURES durch, in der auch die Arbeit The drawing room in summer von Herbert Davis Richter zur Versteigerung kam. Das »Bietergefecht« endete beim Preis von GBP 4.560,00 (€ 6.731,99) und damit 52% über dem oberen Schätzpreis. Für andere Arbeiten von Herbert Davis Richter mussten die Käufer allerdings auch schon deutlich tiefer in die Tasche greifen – das bisher höchste Auktionsergebnis haben wir für die Arbeit The Artist'S Home beobachtet, die im November 2004 für GBP 13.145,00 (€ 18.909,01) versteigert wurde.
