Auction result misses estimated price range
This work of art by Herbert Davis Richter could be acquired at Sothebys in Olympia in July 2007 for an unexpectedly low price. In the British & Continental Pictures including Sporting and Marine Paintings auction, the work Morning Rays changed hands for GBP 1,800.00 (€ 2,673.42) - missing the lower end of the estimate range of GBP 2,000.00 – 3,000.00. Admittedly, works by Herbert Davis Richter have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work The Artist'S Home in November 2004 with an auction result of GBP 13,145.00 (€ 18,909.01).
Auktionsergebnis verfehlt die Schätzpreisspanne
Dieses Kunstwerk von Herbert Davis Richter konnte im Juli 2007 bei Sothebys in Olympia für einen unerwartet niedrigen Preis ersteigert werden. In der Auktion British & Continental Pictures including Sporting and Marine Paintings wechselte die Arbeit Morning Rays für GBP 1.800,00 (€ 2.673,42) den Besitzer – und verfehlte damit das untere Ende der Schätzpreisspanne von GBP 2.000,00 – 3.000,00. Freilich wurden Arbeiten von Herbert Davis Richter auch schon für ein Vielfaches dieses Preises versteigert – das bisher höchste Ergebnis erzielte nach unseren Aufzeichnungen die Arbeit The Artist'S Home im November 2004 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von GBP 13.145,00 (€ 18.909,01).
