Upper estimated price slightly exceeded
The work Kate Moss 2, Malibu, 1994 by Herb Ritts was sold in the Fashion Photo auction at Christies in New York in December 2019. The »bidding war« ended at USD 9,375.00 (€ 8,350.41), 17% above the upper estimate. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Herb Ritts achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Versace Dress, Back View, El Mirage in May 2015 with an auction result of GBP 158,500.00 (€ 220,377.57).
Oberer Schätzpreis leicht übertroffen
Die Arbeit Kate Moss 2, Malibu, 1994 von Herb Ritts wurde im Dezember 2019 in der Auktion Fashion Photo bei Christies in New York versteigert. Das »Bietergefecht« endete beim Preis von USD 9.375,00 (€ 8.350,41) und damit 17% über dem oberen Schätzpreis. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Herb Ritts erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit Versace Dress, Back View, El Mirage im Mai 2015 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von GBP 158.500,00 (€ 220.377,57).
