Auction result misses estimated price range
In December 2011 a collector was able to acquire the work An afternoon rest by Henry Weekes for GBP 375.00 (€ 449.12). This price was achieved in the auction Christie's Interiors at Christies in London and was even below the estimate range of GBP 400.00 – 600.00 set by the auction house. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Henry Weekes achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Master Beaufoy in November 2006 with an auction result of GBP 21,600.00 (€ 32,076.68).
Auktionsergebnis verfehlt die Schätzpreisspanne
Im Dezember 2011 konnte ein Sammler die Arbeit An afternoon rest von Henry Weekes für GBP 375,00 (€ 449,12) erwerben. Dieser Preis wurde in der Auktion Christie's Interiors bei Christies in London erzielt und lag noch unterhalb der von dem Auktionshaus angesetzten Schätzpreisspanne von GBP 400,00 – 600,00. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Henry Weekes erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit Master Beaufoy im November 2006 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von GBP 21.600,00 (€ 32.076,68).
