Auction result well in line with expectations
The work Mountain sheep on a cliff's edge by Henry Schouten was sold in the Pictures,Watercolours and Drawings auction at Christies in Amsterdam in January 2007. It changed hands for a price of EUR 4,560.00 achieving a result in the upper range of the estimate price range of EUR 3,000.00 – 5,000.00. However, buyers have had to dig much deeper into their pockets for other works by Henry Schouten - we have observed the highest auction result to date for the work Gundogs, which sold at auction in June 2002 for GBP 6,462.50 (€ 9,996.02).
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Die Arbeit Mountain sheep on a cliff's edge von Henry Schouten wurde im Januar 2007 in der Auktion Pictures,Watercolours and Drawings bei Christies in Amsterdam versteigert. Dabei wechselte sie für einen Preis von EUR 4.560,00 den Besitzer und erzielte damit ein Ergebnis im oberen Bereich der Schätzpreisspanne von EUR 3.000,00 – 5.000,00. Für andere Arbeiten von Henry Schouten mussten die Käufer allerdings auch schon deutlich tiefer in die Tasche greifen – das bisher höchste Auktionsergebnis haben wir für die Arbeit Gundogs beobachtet, die im Juni 2002 für GBP 6.462,50 (€ 9.996,02) versteigert wurde.
