Auction result well in line with expectations
The work Cattle in a pasture by Henry Schouten was auctioned at Christies in Amsterdam in September 2006. The price achieved of EUR 3,000.00 was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been set by the auction house as EUR 2,500.00 – 3,500.00. However, buyers have had to dig much deeper into their pockets for other works by Henry Schouten - we have observed the highest auction result to date for the work Gundogs, which sold at auction in June 2002 for GBP 6,462.50 (€ 9,996.02).
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Die Arbeit Cattle in a pasture von Henry Schouten kam im September 2006 bei Christies in Amsterdam zur Auktion. Der dabei erzielte Preis von EUR 3.000,00 lag im Rahmen der Erwartungen – die Schätzpreisspanne war von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit EUR 2.500,00 – 3.500,00 angegeben worden. Für andere Arbeiten von Henry Schouten mussten die Käufer allerdings auch schon deutlich tiefer in die Tasche greifen – das bisher höchste Auktionsergebnis haben wir für die Arbeit Gundogs beobachtet, die im Juni 2002 für GBP 6.462,50 (€ 9.996,02) versteigert wurde.
