A top price for Henry Saxe - as previously expected
In May 2012 Sothebys in Toronto held the auction Important Canadian Art, which included this untitled work by Henry Saxe. The price achieved of CAD 11,400.00 (€ 8,908.67) was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been set by the auction house as CAD 10,000.00 – 15,000.00. Even if this result could not surprise positively, this work without title is the most expensive artwork by Henry Saxe that we have observed at auctions so far.
Ein Spitzenpreis mit Ansage
Im Mai 2012 führte Sothebys in Toronto die Auktion Important Canadian Art durch, in der auch diese Arbeit ohne Titel von Henry Saxe zur Versteigerung kam. Der dabei erzielte Preis von CAD 11.400,00 (€ 8.908,67) lag im Rahmen der Erwartungen – die Schätzpreisspanne war von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit CAD 10.000,00 – 15.000,00 angegeben worden. Auch wenn das Ergebnis damit nicht positiv überraschen konnte, ist dieses Werk ohne Titel das teuerste Kunstwerk von Henry Saxe, das wir bisher bei Auktionen beobachtet haben.
