Upper estimated price slightly exceeded
In November this year Bonhams in Los Angeles held the auction American Art, which included the work The Jewel Box by Henry R. Rittenberg. The »bidding war« ended at USD 5,760.00 (€ 5,280.53), 15% above the upper estimate. However, buyers have had to dig much deeper into their pockets for other works by Henry R. Rittenberg - we have observed the highest auction result to date for the work Cyclamen, which sold at auction in March 2005 for USD 16,800.00 (€ 12,953.97).
