Auction result well in line with expectations
The work Portrait study of Odette by Gustave Henry Mosler was sold in the Christie's Interiors auction at Christies in New York in February 2008. It changed hands for a price of USD 4,750.00 (€ 3,127.67) achieving a result in the upper range of the estimate price range of USD 3,000.00 – 5,000.00. Admittedly, works by Gustave Henry Mosler have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work The Husking Bee in December 2008 with an auction result of USD 37,500.00 (€ 26,941.59).
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Die Arbeit Portrait study of Odette von Gustave Henry Mosler wurde im Februar 2008 in der Auktion Christie's Interiors bei Christies in New York versteigert. Dabei wechselte sie für einen Preis von USD 4.750,00 (€ 3.127,67) den Besitzer und erzielte damit ein Ergebnis im oberen Bereich der Schätzpreisspanne von USD 3.000,00 – 5.000,00. Freilich wurden Arbeiten von Gustave Henry Mosler auch schon für ein Vielfaches dieses Preises versteigert – das bisher höchste Ergebnis erzielte nach unseren Aufzeichnungen die Arbeit The Husking Bee im Dezember 2008 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von USD 37.500,00 (€ 26.941,59).
