In the Old Master & 19th Century Paintings and Drawings, Sculptures, Miniatures, Frames auction, the work L'Écrivain À Sa Table De Travail Entouré De Sa Famille sold for EUR 758.00 - well above the upper estimate of EUR 400.00. Despite this good result, it is not the highest hammer price for an artwork by Henry Monnier; that achieved among the auctions we observed the lot Scène D'Intérieur sold at auction in March 2011 with the realized price of EUR 1,275.00.
