Auction result well in line with expectations
In February 2007 Christies in London held the auction Christopher Wood A Very Victorian Eye, which included the work Mary Magdalen at the sepulchre by Henry Lejeune. The price achieved of GBP 5,400.00 (€ 8,005.31) was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been set by the auction house as GBP 4,000.00 – 6,000.00. Other works by Henry Lejeune have already achieved higher auction prices, for example, in April 2003 the work A Bite was auctioned for USD 19,120.00 (€ 15,570.03).
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Im Februar 2007 führte Christies in London die Auktion Christopher Wood A Very Victorian Eye durch, in der auch die Arbeit Mary Magdalen at the sepulchre von Henry Lejeune zur Versteigerung kam. Der dabei erzielte Preis von GBP 5.400,00 (€ 8.005,31) lag im Rahmen der Erwartungen – die Schätzpreisspanne war von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit GBP 4.000,00 – 6.000,00 angegeben worden. Andere Arbeiten von Henry Lejeune konnten bereits höhere Auktionspreise erzielen, so wurde im April 2003 die Arbeit A Bite für USD 19.120,00 (€ 15.570,03) versteigert.
