Upper estimated price slightly exceeded
In November 2010 Christies in London held the auction Victorian and British Impressionist Pictures, which included the work Sewing at the cottage door by Henry John Yeend King. Here, the upper estimate of GBP 1,200.00 was slightly exceeded - the artwork found a new owner for GBP 1,250.00 (€ 1,493.75). Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Henry John Yeend King achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Haymaking in June 2000 with an auction result of GBP 47,000.00 (€ 74,500.79).
Oberer Schätzpreis leicht übertroffen
Im November 2010 führte Christies in London die Auktion Victorian and British Impressionist Pictures durch, in der auch die Arbeit Sewing at the cottage door von Henry John Yeend King zur Versteigerung kam. Dabei wurde der obere Schätzpreis von GBP 1.200,00 leicht übertroffen – das Kunstwerk fand für GBP 1.250,00 (€ 1.493,75) einen neuen Besitzer. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Henry John Yeend King erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit Haymaking im Juni 2000 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von GBP 47.000,00 (€ 74.500,79).
