Auction result well in line with expectations
In December 2001 Christies in London held the auction OBJECTS OF VERTU AND MINIATURES, which included the work Charles William Mills, in a white shift, blond hair by Henri Gray. It changed hands for a price of GBP 493.50 (€ 806.31) achieving a result in the upper range of the estimate price range of GBP 300.00 – 500.00. Other works by Henri Gray have already achieved higher auction prices, for example, in February 2024 the work Midland Railway. was auctioned for GBP 640.00 (€ 1,071.14).
