Auction result well in line with expectations
In December 2007 Christies in New York held the auction The House Sale, which included the work Trillium by Henry Ernest Schnakenberg. The estimated price for the artwork was previously given by the auction house with a range of USD 800.00 – 1,200.00, the actual price achieved of USD 875.00 (€ 599.19) could thus just exceed the lower estimate. Admittedly, works by Henry Ernest Schnakenberg have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work Ferry Landing in July 2014 with an auction result of USD 5,625.00 (€ 4,200.90).
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Im Dezember 2007 führte Christies in New York die Auktion The House Sale durch, in der auch die Arbeit Trillium von Henry Ernest Schnakenberg zur Versteigerung kam. Der Schätzpreis für das Kunstwerk wurde von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit einer Spanne von USD 800,00 – 1.200,00 angegeben, der tatsächlich erzielte Preis von USD 875,00 (€ 599,19) konnte den unteren Schätzpreis somit knapp übertreffen. Freilich wurden Arbeiten von Henry Ernest Schnakenberg auch schon für ein Vielfaches dieses Preises versteigert – das bisher höchste Ergebnis erzielte nach unseren Aufzeichnungen die Arbeit Ferry Landing im Juli 2014 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von USD 5.625,00 (€ 4.200,90).
