Auction result well in line with expectations
In May 2004 Christies in London held the auction Maritime Pictures, which included the work Running into the estuary by Henry Branston Freer. The price achieved of GBP 358.50 (€ 537.88) was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been set by the auction house as GBP 300.00 – 400.00. Admittedly, works by Henry Branston Freer have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work Prize Giving Day On The Worcester (Illustrated); And The Warspite in November 2006 with an auction result of GBP 2,880.00 (€ 4,276.89).
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Im Mai 2004 führte Christies in London die Auktion Maritime Pictures durch, in der auch die Arbeit Running into the estuary von Henry Branston Freer zur Versteigerung kam. Der dabei erzielte Preis von GBP 358,50 (€ 537,88) lag im Rahmen der Erwartungen – die Schätzpreisspanne war von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit GBP 300,00 – 400,00 angegeben worden. Freilich wurden Arbeiten von Henry Branston Freer auch schon für ein Vielfaches dieses Preises versteigert – das bisher höchste Ergebnis erzielte nach unseren Aufzeichnungen die Arbeit Prize Giving Day On The Worcester (Illustrated); And The Warspite im November 2006 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von GBP 2.880,00 (€ 4.276,89).
