Auction result well in line with expectations
In August 2002 Christies in London held the auction BRITISH AND CONTINENTAL PICTURES, which included the work Phlox in a vase by pots and a statuette on a draped table by Henry Aloysius Hankey. The price achieved of GBP 352.50 (€ 556.32) was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been set by the auction house as GBP 300.00 – 400.00. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Henry Aloysius Hankey achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Arrival of First Fleet, Sydney Cove in May 2004 with an auction result of AUD 13,145.00 (€ 7,680.20).

Im August 2002 führte Christies in London die Auktion BRITISH AND CONTINENTAL PICTURES durch, in der auch die Arbeit Phlox in a vase by pots and a statuette on a draped table von Henry Aloysius Hankey zur Versteigerung kam. Der dabei erzielte Preis von GBP 352,50 (€ 556,32) lag im Rahmen der Erwartungen – die Schätzpreisspanne war von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit GBP 300,00 – 400,00 angegeben worden. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Henry Aloysius Hankey erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit Arrival of First Fleet, Sydney Cove im Mai 2004 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von AUD 13.145,00 (€ 7.680,20).
