In June 2017 Christies in Amsterdam held the auction The former Kamerbeek Collection, which included the work The young fisherman by Hendrikus Matheus Horrix. The price achieved of EUR 5,625.00 was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been set by the auction house as EUR 5,000.00 – 7,000.00. Even if this result could not surprise positively, The young fisherman is the most expensive artwork by Hendrikus Matheus Horrix that we have observed at auctions so far.
